"The Green Team training has been an amazing addition to our basketball program and specifically my team. Coach Lindow does a great job relating to the kids and finds fun and interesting ways to translate the information to the players. The values that are being taught not only set a standard for our players and coaches to follow within our program, but it teaches these players to be great men off the basketball court. I attribute a lot of the success our program has to the Green Team training program that Coach Lindow does."

COACH BIELMEIER, HS BASKETBALL - WI

"The workshop I attended that Scott put on was an eye opener as to how much attention needs to be directed toward the mental game, especially in today's age. We are in the beginning state of the program and in a short amount of time it has been well received by our player. Scott's approach is extremely positive and he always has a purposeful message to help the player visualize and believe success can be right around the corner. We as coaches can't wait to see the continued progress of our athletes!"

COACH BEISE, HS SOFTBALL - WI

"I’m gonna be honest when we started doing this mental training stuff in High School every week I hated it. I told myself this is pointless and this isn’t gonna do anything, why am I here. Not until my junior year did I really start to realize that I need to put more effort into this because, mental is more important than your physical play. As I was a senior and wrapping up mental training I was really glad we did this and I wish I had cared more about it earlier, because now I wanna translate it to my college sport. I just wanna say thank you Scott for everything you have done and all the work you have put into this. I’m really glad you did this and I’m sure most of my teammates would agree!"

ALEX - DIVISON 2 COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYER

"Our coaching staff knew we had a physically talented group of players, but they needed to get better at handling their emotions and the mental aspects of the game to maximize their potential. Through the routines and mental training led by Scott, the program was able to achieve success it hadn't seen in decades."

COACH JUZA, HS BASEBALL - WI

Scott has been working with the boys basketball team for the last 6 years as our character coach..  He has been a very instrumental part of our program.  Scotts ability to connect with kids is unbelievable.  His passion and love for teaching character has been contagious.  His work ethic and positive attitude has rubbed off on the coaching staff.  Scott has been a great friend and mentor for me.

COACH ORR, HS BASKETBALL - WI

"Coach Lindow has been an extreme help to myself as a young coach in the game of baseball. When I started at Flambeau three years ago, I wasn't really sure what to expect, but Scott was one of the mentors I leaned on when I had questions. He opened my mind up to the idea of training the mental side of baseball and it has paid off with the athletes I work with. Scott even volunteered his time to come and do some sessions with my athletes during his own busy season. Scott goes above and beyond for all coaches and his love for the game of baseball truly shows through the actions he takes on a daily basis."

COACH GROOTHOUSEN, HS BASEBALL - WI

"When a fellow Coach and I signed up to coach the 10U team back in March 2022 I was not sure what to expect. The Youth Baseball Board said it was required to attend this coaching clinic with Scott for an hour. Going in I was pretty skeptical about what I would get out of it. Boy was I wrong, within a matter of a ten minutes I realized what Scott had to offer would be life changing for me. Fast forward about nine months and now the Youth Baseball Board as a group is working with Scott to implement this program to the youth baseball program, something I am very excited about! I would encourage anyone that is on the fence to just try it, it might be life changing for you!"

COACH WILLGER, YOUTH BASEBALL - WI

"Prior to that first session, I believed that a positive mindset was an important piece of the puzzle when it came to athletics, and tried my best to bring positive energy to the youth sports I was coaching. I didn’t have any sort of tools, manuals, or any training to back up or support what I believed in and was sharing with the kids I was coaching. I didn’t have a “why” necessarily, it was just what I drew on from my previous experiences as an athlete and a coach. And it was pretty basic. Deep breaths, letting go of negative outcomes, focusing on the process of things, not the results. But that was the extent of it.

After just one session in your mental training program, I was filled with excitement and energy for what was being shared with kids in the high school baseball program. It was encouraging to listen to the information being presented, as it helped to validate in my own mind that I had been on the right path. I thought it was neat that each participant received a “Green Light” bracelet to wear and serve as a reminder of their training.

As I continued to attend those classroom sessions, it blew me away to see the mental toolbox that the kids were developing and being coached on. They were being taught about how to handle adversity, how to accept failure as a part of the process without letting that failure define them, focusing on things they can control, how to recognize when they need to mentally regroup, and how to actually develop their own process or routine that allows them to get back on track mentally, to be in the right frame of mind to perform at their best.  They learn how to become better teammates, better students, better people. And can’t count the number of times I thought to myself “man, I wish I had access to something like this when I was growing up.” I knew that I wanted to share what I had learned with the current and future groups of kids I coach, even if on a watered down level for 11 & 12 year olds.

As I mentioned earlier, I believed it was important in athletics. What I didn’t necessarily expect to take away from those sessions was how I could take A LOT of the same principles I had learned and apply them to everyday life situations at work and at home. It has helped me in my personal interactions, and has allowed me to be a better leader in my professional life as well. I have shared what I learned with my leader and peer group at work, and openly and excitedly talk to people about it whenever I am asked. Am I perfect at it? Nope. But that’s just a part of the process…

I guess if I had to sum up in a sentence how I feel about the benefits and value in the mental performance training I participated in, and what is still being taught, it’s this. I received one of those “Green Light” bracelet on day 1, and I haven’t taken it off since."
